I had been having issues with my charging port so I replaced it today. The battery is also new. When I plugged it in, the light comes on that it’s charging, but the laptop won’t turn on. I don’t know if it’s because I missed placing something when I put it back together or if there’s something else wrong with it. What do I need to do if I can’t turn it on to get someone to diagnose it?

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

I understand that your HP notebook is not powering on after replacing the charging port.  If you have already performed the steps from the document HP Notebook PCs - Computer Does Not Start: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03518165 and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

NOTE: HP does not recommend upgrading or downgrading hardware parts or software that is bundled with the product as It may affect the manufacturer's warranty and performance.

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your computer. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
