Product: Hp energy star 15r263dx

I cannot remember my password. I went to do a factory reset but now the screen says "enter administrator password or power on password". I have tried turning it off, unplugging and taking the battery out. I have also entered a 6 or 7 digit code i read could work which did not. Can someone help?

The code you entered is a Disable Code and We're not permitted to provide Disable Code bypasses anymore.

I'm really sorry that we can not help you with this, but Community policy prohibits us from assisting you in any way with bypassing or resetting passwords.

For BIOS or power-on password resets, read this HP thread: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06368824.

If you are not prepared to spend the money to get HP to replace the motherboard for BIOS password resets, you could take the PC to a local repair facility to see if they can do it for you -- but we are unable to assist in that.

For Admin password resets, you have to contact your regional HP Customer Support location directly for assistance.
