Product: ProBook 440 G4
Operating System: Linux
Is it "normal" that the M.2 slot on these is only bootable in UEFI mode? I wasted my last day installing Mint 18.1 about 20 times with different bios settings, 2.5" SSDs, M.2 SSDs, etc.
The M.2 slot functions fine regardless of whether the notebook using Legacy or UEFI mode, and I can install whatever OS to the drive without issue, however the system won't boot to the M.2 SSD when set to Legacy mode... and this isn't an NVMe SSD, it's M.2 SATA. Legacy works with the 2.5" SSD fine.
Thanks
