Motherboard went out - 5 months after warranty expired.

HP Spectre x360

About a month ago my computer would not charge. Purchased a new power cord but that was not the issue. The motherboard has went out on the computer. I paid about $1200.00 for this computer hoping it would last me through college. Now halfway though my second year, I'm looking at having to buy a new computer. I have read that the issue I'm having is common for my computer. Have there been any recalls or are there any options I have to get my computer fixed.

Thanks for your help.

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

We don't get notices of any recalls here, and we have no way to authorize the repair of your PC.

For these issues, you really need to contact HP Customer Support directly and discuss these with them.

If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: After you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to some one -- it can take a while!

If you have trouble finding a phone number, then try: 1 (800) 474-6836

Good Luck
