My Envy 360 will not turn on. It is fully charged as it has been plugged in for 4 hours.

Envy360
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)
My envy360, 1.4 years old will not turn on. It is charged as it has been plugged in for 4 hours. When I push the on button I get a quick white light on the button but nothing. It has an internal battery.

Hi @Leedurango

Thank you for posting in the HP Support forum.

Try to perform hard reset. Here is a video for models like yours with non-removable battery > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NJQM8vJa9Q

Here are the instructions (article) > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01684768

... basically you need to keep holding the power on button for about 10 second ...

Does this make any difference ?

You are most welcome ! 🙂

OK, not so good.

Please, review these 2 HP official articles and guides about such issues you experience now.

Follow the appropriate steps that fit your case to attempt to fix the issue:

or

If you did try everything but nothing helped, I am afraid you will need to bring your computer (or ship it) to service - HP Authorized service center.

If the computer is still under active warranty period, you will need to notify HP support first.

If you are not sure where such a center is located, please contact HP support for assistance in finding one. Here is more info:

Well none of that worked so I took it back to best buy. Paid them to open it up and discharge battery- no luck. Said it looks like a power board issue and are sending it to kentucky. I am very disappointed that 4 months after a 12 month warranty- computer is less than 1.5 years old, warranty expires a $1500 computer used only a slight to moderate amount is dead. I just paid it off. All my legal stuff for court is on there that I need. Very disappointed with the quality-junk. Happy with your quick response and efforts to help. Wont buy anything HP again.

Great! $460 for a new motherboard on a 16 month old laptop used at home. Grrrrr.
