HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p214dx (ENERGY STAR)

Hello. My laptop will not start up at all. I have tried cleaning the battery, removing all power sources, tutorials from HP, holding the power button, anything you can imagine. BUT, this happened a month ago, and my father plugged it into an outlet, and it worked like nothing happened. Now my laptop wont turn on again??

The working like nothing happened incident is very confusing -- because in these situations, the main reasons the laptop will not power on are hardware related -- often bad charger or dead battery, or even bad motherboard.  Once those happen, they don't get better on their own.

Did your father use a different power outlet than you are using now, and have you tried yourself using the same outlet?

Oh my goodness, i tried the outlet he used and it WORKED. I didn’t think it was my outlet cause my apple charger worked fine, it might have been the ground pong part on the outlet, thank you so much!! ❤️
