Envy x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My model number is 15M-BP112DX

I was going through an update when my laptop shut off without any warning. I attempted to turn it back on and nothing happened at all. I then noticed my battery light wasn't on and assumed it was the cord that went bad and didn't charge and so I ordered a new one. Well that new cord didn't work so I went  online and tried to do some of the troubleshooting methods. I did the unplugilging the power cable, pressing the power button hold downs of 8, 10, and 15 seconds, respectively, before plugging the power cable back in and trying to turn the power back on and still nothing. No sounds, no lights, no sign it was alive at all.

I am dreading having to go to a repair shop for a laptop I have had only for just over 2 years, that has had no troubles since, so I would really appreciate any help at all.

Hi
First:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.

Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.

Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat

NOW begin checking/testing/proving the Hardware is fit for purpose.

Power on your PC, press ESC (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).

HOW DO I USE DIAGNOSTICS?

HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows is a Windows-based utility that allows you to run diagnostic tests to determine if the computer hardware is functioning properly. The tool runs within the Windows operating system in order to diagnose hardware failures. HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows comes pre-installed on new HP computers, but if not on yours, download here:- http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp93001-93500/sp93457.exe

Unfortunately I tried that. No matter how many times I tried the holding down of the power button, nothing happens, so I can't even run anything to check the diagnostics at all.

Edit: I am currently asking this on my phone because I can't access the laptop at all.

Oh dear.

I suspected as much, and if nothing works on the keyboard, then it is either a repair at a local shop or an expensive paperweight.

Has troubleshooting and user manuals that may help.

Like this....

and have the joy of a Virtual Agent instead of me a Virtual Eejit.

I know it will be difficult with just a small screen but you should get a second opinion.
