According to the message you have posted I suspect this could be because of the recent changes made if any.

I would kindly request with you to perform the below shown steps to resolve the issue:

Step 01. Turn OFF the PC

Step 02. Power ON the PC and keep tapping F8 Key

Step 03. Select "Safe mode" from the Advance Boot Option list

Note: Wait till you get to the Windows Desktop

Step 05. Please remove unwanted startup items and uninstall unwanted applications

Step 06. Please reboot/restart the PC the normal way

Note: Incase if these steps doesn't work you can continue troubleshooting the issue again

Step 01. Turn OFF the PC

Step 02. Power ON the PC and keep tapping F8 Key

Step 03. Select "Last known good configuration" from the Advance Boot Option list

Note: Wait till you get to the Windows Desktop

Step 04. Please remove unwanted startup items and uninstall unwanted applications

Step 05. Please reboot/restart the PC the normal way

We may have to perform a clean install of the Operating System, in other words we need to re-install the Windows to resolve the issue completely and start from scratch

As of now if you need to recover your Notebook with the new Operating System you can check if the Recovery Partition

is in a working condition or not, If yes you can easily recover/restore your Notebook

If Recovery Partition is corrupted

You need to call HP Technical Support and request for a set of Recovery Disks , So you can recover/restore your Notebook at the earliest

OR

You need call up Microsoft and purchase an Operating System with the License Key, So you can recover/restore your Notebook at the earliest

I strongly recommend you to Contact HP Technical Support over the Phone for further assistance without any delay

Contact HP - http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html
