Hi @phamtatic,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Spectre laptop isn’t turning on, it could be due to several factors ranging from power issues to hardware malfunctions. Here’s a comprehensive guide to diagnose and troubleshoot the problem:

1. Check Power Supply

Verify Power Connection:

  • Ensure the power adapter is securely plugged into both the laptop and the wall outlet.
  • Try a different power outlet to rule out outlet issues.

Inspect Power Adapter and Cable:

  • Check for any visible damage to the power adapter or cable.
  • If possible, try using a different, compatible power adapter.

2. Perform a Hard Reset

Disconnect All Power Sources:

  • Unplug the power adapter.
  • Remove the battery (if removable).

Discharge Residual Power:

  • Press and hold the power button for 15-30 seconds.

Reconnect and Restart:

  • Reinsert the battery (if it was removed) and reconnect the power adapter.
  • Try turning on the laptop.

3. Examine External Devices

  • Disconnect Peripherals:
    • Remove all external devices (USB drives, external hard drives, etc.).
    • Attempt to start the laptop with no peripherals connected.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
