hi

The options may vary depending on the model.
But the documentation for this is general, we rarely have a specific document for each model
so try to follow this:

When I use F!0 it ask for a Adminstrator Password.  I don't know what that password would be?

HP Recommended

If to access the bios you are asked for a password
the user has given a password, if it is not you
the computer may be used !
You talk about your work, maybe the laptop was provided to you, you have to see that with your IT department
For some unknown reason a password must be given, but no one knows, no one has entered a password
You will need to contact HP

@LBCarver

You have already been provided really good advice by @Prométhée but I wanted to add a few comments of my own.

I understand your situation as I have seen it many times since the Pandemic hit.  Companies want their employees to work from home but are too cheap to provide laptops, so they insist on the use of personal devices, but booting from a USB stick they provide.

Changing from UEFI to Legacy, even if it CAN be done (which I doubt) is only going to make matters worse!  Why? Because your current Windows on the laptop was loaded using UEFI mode.  If you switch it to Legacy, Windows will no longer boot.  So, if you do this to get the USB stick to work, you will lose the usage of the existing Windows on your laptop.

You really need to take this up with your IT organization, as already suggested, and demand they furnish you a device that works.

YES, finally let's wait for the answer from @LBCarver  in order to know the why and how
at this moment he cannot do anything anyway, if there is a password!
In some cases it does not matter to boot from a usb stick, it will all depend on what exactly needs to be done.
