I can't login on my new Elitebook. It's stuck at some HP login solution that looks like something form the 90's! The finger print reader doesn't repond and there is no password. After three attempts it requires a turn off/on and the whole repreats itself.

I'm in Denmark, so I will contact support here on Monday.
I might add, that the start up screen says HP Secure Start. Then I get the option to either login (on this HP 90's looking login software) via the finger print reader, which fails, or password. But after 3 attempts with the password option it requires me to reboot. I try with those password options I have, but I haven't made any password for this specific piece of so called safety software from HP (I call it crapware!).
Update: I solutions seems to be on its way. A new motherboard! HP will send out a technician who will replace the motherboard. HP´s software has blocked the pc completely..

The login you describe sounds like a power on or BIOS password screen...and is a glitch if you never set such password. Call HP Support- in US/Can call 800-334-5144
