HP ENVY 13t Laptop

My daughter is a college student in desperate need of help.

She had an intermittent issue with her new Envy 13t laptop that now appears to be permanent. We turn on and only see a black screen and Boot device not Found, (3F0).

I have tried all options suggested by HP assistant without success. The laptop has a sealed base so no access to the battery, hard drive and cable. Is this a warranty issue? We have limited knowledge regarding fixes and jargon so please make this a simple as possible.

Thanks in advance for any help here.

If the laptop is still under the original one-year HP warranty and it does not work, then yes, it is a warranty issue.

Sorry, but this is just self-help Community staffed mostly by volunteers and we are not authorized to deal with warranty, service or equipment replacement issues. For these issues, you will need to contact HP Customer Support.

You paid for free HP Tech Support as part of the warranty coverage, so you might as well make use of it.

Unfortunately, we are NOT HP Tech Support and we have no way to diagnose or repair your PC, so while this PC is still under warranty, you should contact HP Customer Support directly to have them put you in touch with HP Technical Support to see what they can do about troubleshooting and repairing your machine remotely.

I did this recently and the HP Tech was able to remotely access my PC from the Internet to check out the problems.

If they are unable to fix your PC, then you need to explore what options you have to get it replaced under the warranty.
