Pavilion x360 14-DH1018TU 14” 2 in 1 laptop

I had just shutdown my computer and was about to turn it back on when all of a sudden, a message popped up. It informed my “Boot device not found” Please install an operating system on your hard disk.
Hard Disk (3F0). F2 Sysem Diagnostics. I have pressed F2 into the system diagnostics and ran the hard drive check (quick check). Unfortunately, this message pops up “No hard drive installed, Please check your power and data cables are connected properly. I do not want any of the data left behind but was wondering should I buy a new laptop or find a replacement hard drive if there is one. I would appreciate your time and attention to this post.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.  

 

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer. 

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

I apologise for the late reply. It seems I dont quite understand. Are you suggesting for me to repair/replace my hard drive with a new one or contact HP for further help.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the Yes, Hard Disk (3F0) is faulty,

 

 

You may order the replacement parts on the HP Parts Store, use the HP Parts Surfer to find the part number and If you've already looked for it and couldn't find it on the HP Parts Store, you may want to get it locally at the online store such as Amazon or eBay, etc...as the part numbers are universal. 

  

Alternatively, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started: 

  

1) Click on this link

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step: 

3) Enter the serial of your device. 

4) Select the country from the drop-down. 

5) Click on "Show Options". Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
