Solved!

No Power

HP Recommended
HP 15 (Model 15-f023wm)
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hoping someone here can point me in some sort of a direction. This unit was given to me, the previous owner didn't want it anymore, and wanted it to go to someone who could give it a good home...it was working when put into storage, has received only very light use when it was being used. Right now the only thing that will work is the LED by the AC Adapter port. it will be orange for about an hour, then go to a steady blinking white. The power button is totally unresponsive. I have already tried a different adapter, and I have verified the original is giving the proper power output. I am not sure what else I could check out. Any assistance would be appreciated!

I do know that some HP laptops will not boot when the battery is dead even with a charger connected -- I have such a unit and when my battery died because I left it unplugged for 3 days, I had to buy a new battery to get it to reboot.
