I'm trying to do a USB install on a machine but when Windows Install fire up there are no disks visible.
I've found this page that I think might be the way to go for us.
Can you tell me which file I would need to download and extract and where to put it on the USB Drive?
Do I need to set something in BIOS or can I point to that file/folder during the USB install. How does that work?
I know how to fix this on Dell machines. There you go to BIOS and set Storage/RAID setting to AHCI/NVMe. If that help you understand what I need to do.
Model: HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14m-dy1xxx
Serial: [Personal Information Removed]
BIOS version: Insyde F.16

Your model came with an Intel i5 11th gen processor and a 512 GB M.2 NVMe SSD with embedded 32 GB Optane.
If you copy Intel RST storage controller drivers to a Windows installation usb drive, the Windows installer should detect the storage drive and install Windows on it.
But after the Windows installation is complete, most likely, you need to download and run an Intel Optane software to manually pair up the Optane and 512 GB SSD to create the Optane volume RAID configuration to accelerate the performance of the storage drive.
If you use a bootable recovery usb drive created with HP Cloud Recovery Tool, it'll install Windows and all necessary drivers, with the Optane - storage drive RAID mode being preconfigured.
Plese click the link below for how to use the recovery tool.

If you need to use another PC to run the recovery tool to create a recovery usb drive, you need to provide your notebook's full product number, which you can find on the bottom cover of your notebook.
