Not able to install openSuse Linux through bootable pendrive

Hello,

I am not able to install linux openSuse.

Made the pendrive bootable but it not booting through pendrive.

Tried disabling the secure boot and enabling the legacy boot option.

Also made the priority of USB Disc as top priority.

Please suggest some solution to this

I have to install linux on my machine.

Are you tapping F9 for Boot Options immdiately after power on? Esc key, then F9 .

Correct, i am tapping ESC at the boot time then F9 for boot options then F10 to edit the boot settings.

When you tap F9 is the usb drive not shown as an option to boot from? On most HP laptops no matter how you set BIOS boot options you still must select boot drive from F9.

Yes it shows and it is enabled also.

To be clear- you are tapping F9, move to and select/highlight USB drive and tap Enter key? From there what happens?

Ok i will tell you the detailed steps which I followed
I) At the startup time I pressed ESC , after that a startup menu is appeared. I pressed F9 (Boot Device Options).
II) After pressing F9 i am seeing two options
- OS Boot Manager (UEFI) - Windows Boot Manager
- Boot from EFI File
- Then there is an option to edit BIOS setup options. (F10)
III) After pressing F10, in the system configuration tab there is Boot options
IV) After selecting Boot options, there is an option for USB boot which is showing as enabled.

If your flash drive with Linux is not showing as a boot option then there is more work to be done. It is not a bootable device.

Btw, what happens if you choose OS Boot Manager (UEFI)?

I tried with Ubuntu 16.4 following the the same way to make the pendrive boot able as I followed for openSuse 12.3.
I found the Ubuntu boot able pendrive was shown in the boot device options so, i installed ubuntu
