Sorry no the trouble-shooter does not identify the problem

To mitigate this issue, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, then select the Power button in the lower right corner of the screen and select Restart. Your device should now restart normally.

We are working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release.

 

Microsoft is working on a fix and should release a patch in the next release to fix it.

Just to let you know Its been a month and my envy has updated itself.

Once again I am back to a flashing hard drive led and a black screen.

You said HP and Microsoft were working on a fix , any news please ?

I recommend you contact support and they will assist you in this regard.

 

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

I am in the uk and purchased my laptop from PC world. I cant get help from them and cant contact hp via the route you suggested.

Any other way to contact HP support please
