After rebooting or sleep mode when I try to boot up the first thing that appears is the request for a password when suddenly around 50 numbers show up on the password. I then must delete all of them before typing in my password.
The same problem occurs in Google search before I can type in my search query I see the number "7" appearing around 50 times which I the must delete.
Sometimes, it happens when I want to type in a www. address.
It stops when I click the "Control" button on my keyboard. But, after an hour or another boot up the same problems appear.
I did all of the HP Hardware, Systems Diagonostics and Peformance Check ups. I even did them for the keyboard, graphics and family control drivers and updated all of them. I even did a broken files errors system check and updated my BIOS too. Nowhere does any errors show up.
Any suggestions?

Is it ONLY the number 7?
From your description, it sounds like a stuck key -- which can easily happen if something gets spilled on the keyboard.
I would try the following:
1) Right-click on the desktop and create a new text file
2) Open the text file and try typing -- see if the 7 key repeats while you do that
3) tap and do not hold down, the 7 key and see if it repeats

Thank you for replying.
Here's my answers to your questions:
Is it ONLY the number 7? Yes, only 7. However, I don't know which letter or number repeats itself in the HP Log In Password as they are hidden.
1) Right-click on the desktop and create a new text file. Yes, I opened up a new notebook file.
2) Open the text file and try typing -- see if the 7 key repeats while you do that. I typed over 300 letters and numbers and the "7" did not show up.
3) tap and do not hold down, the 7 key and see if it repeats. I tapped the number 7 key only one and it only appeared once and did not repeat itself.
Let me know if there are other tests I should do.

OK, so it does not appear to be a stuck key.
My guess then it would be a keyboard buffer issue -- but I can find no easy way to flush the buffer.
I have to leave now, so this would be something for you to research.

Dear WAWood,
Thank you for bringing up the keyboard buffer issue.
I found a detailed step by step description of how to fix a keyboard buffer issue online.
I just uninstalled my keyboard, rebooted, and it was automatically reinstalled. I clicked on "updates" but no new ones were available.
Since then, everything works fine. No more multiple "7"s so far. I will use it and wait 24 hours to make sure the problem is solved. Then, I will return here to thank you and give your replies their proper Kudos.

WAWood, thank you. You are a genius.
I took my HP notebook to 2 PC repair shops. The first one declared my HP dad and wanted me to sell me a new one for $500.
The 2nd one saw that the problem involved the keyboard, but suggested that I buy a new keyboard for $150.
You solved my problem for free. A simple keyboard buffer problem no one recognized, but you did.
You saved me money nd time.
Thank you!
