My Pavilion was starting after I got a new battery. I updated everything then it would just quit on it's own. I unplugged then held start button for 30 secs. and it would start 2nd attempt. Stopped on it's own again after hours of use. Now button just lights up and screen won't come on.

Thanks for the help. It probably isn't worth it to fix it if it is hardware but I wanted to try a few avenues anyway. Thanks again and I will try what you suggest. Otherwise it will probably be heading to the scrap yard... 👍

Most likely, the PC is experiencing a major hardware failure. You MIGHT be able to run hardware diagnostics by pressing the Esc key repeatedly and then, when the HP Startup Menu appears, select Diagnostics (usually F2) and let it run.
If that does not work, then there is nothing more you can do by yourself -- and there is nothing we can do because we HERE have no way of diagnosing or repairing hardware problems.
You will need to have the PC physically examined in a service facility by folks that can run their own diagnostics to determine what is wrong with it.
Since your PC is no longer under warranty, then it will cost you up front to have HP examine your PC. If you want to do that, you will have to contact an HP Repair or Service Center to see if they can examine the PC to determine the cause(s) of the problems, if it can be repaired, and an estimate of the repair costs.
