HP notebook 15-r001nia, Opened the Bios menu and carelessly changed the default boot mode And right now the system fails to start up, shows: operating system boot mode change : press the passcode to continue with change Or esc to continue without change have done both but neither of them is working. Please what can I do??

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are unable to boot to Windows and getting an error.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

Did you set a BIOS password?

 

Meanwhile, I recommend you boot to BIOS and restore the BIOS defaults and check if it helps.

 

Here is how it is done.

 

  1. Backup and save important information on your computer, and then turn off the computer.

  2. Turn on the computer, and then click F10, until the BIOS opens.

  3. Under the Main tab, use the up and down arrow keys to select Restore Defaults.

  4. Select Yes.

  5. Under the Main tab, use the up and down arrow keys to select Save Changes and Exit.

  6. When prompted, click Yes to save changes and exit.
