Hi!
I know this is a really old computer, but if anyone out there knows how to fix my problem I'd really like to know!
At every boot I'm greeted with '0x3B: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION' two seconds after windows try to load drivers. It then goes black for about 30-60 seconds and after that it boots normally.
I'm very certain this problem is happening because of three items in the device manager that Windows doesn't recognize. Two of them seem identical (Base System Device) so I will just list them as one here.
Device description and Hardware IDs:
- Base System Device
- PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&SUBSYS_167E103C&REV_30
- PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&SUBSYS_167E103C
- PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&CC_088000
- PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&CC_0880
- Unknown device
- ACPI\VEN_HPQ&DEV_0004
- ACPI\HPQ0004
- *HPQ0004
Also, this is after a fresh installation of Windows 10 Pro.

Alright, I went ahead and tried something on my own.
I went to a alternative website and downloaded some driver files for the JMicron card reader. They worked perfectly, and now all missing drivers are installed.
Thanks again for your quick responses. 🙂

Hi:
You need these drivers for those devices.
I have never heard of that issue occuring when these drivers were not installed.
Hopefully, you will be lucky that they resolve that issue as well as installing the device drivers.
Base System Device:
JMicron Media Card Reader Driver
1.0.76.1
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63501-64000/sp63637.exe
Unknown Device:
3D DriveGuard Software
4.2.9.1 REV: A

The 3D DriveGuard Software solved the problem with my "Unkown device" ACPI error. Thanks for that!
However, the problem persist with the JMicron driver. After the first installation failed, I tried installing the driver via Windows driver installation tool instead of the originalk installer, and referring to the folder where your exe installed the driver files. Windows then replied that:
"The hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. The file is likely corrupt or the victim of tampering."
It identified the driver as tje JMicron PCIe SD/MMC Host Controller though, but it couldn't install it.

You're very welcome.
This older card reader driver should work...
