Product: Probook 440 G6
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Probook 440 G6 came with 1 TB HDD. It seems that the laptop has a M.2 slot. Can someone please confirm?

Also please confirm if the BIOS will support PCIe NVME SSD?

what is the maximum RAM the system can support? Currently it has 1x8 GB installed.

The series support single storage options M.2 SSD or 2.5" HDD, not both

But the series supports Optane therefore it must have M.2 NVMe SSD slot.  Page 2 of the manual (pdf file) shows you RAM information (32GB max). You can use

Thanks for clarifying my storage options.

It was hoping that I would be able to plug in a M.2 PCIe for OS and continue to use existing hdd as storage.from your answer it seems that is not possible. 

If i were to improve my system speed, what in your opinion are my options?

Just another connected question. If I were to install a M.2 PCIe, can I use existing 2.5" hdd for back-up using file history?
