Pavilion Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

We deleted a few apps today to try and speed up the notebook. But since restarting it we cant get past the start up repair screen. I fear we may have deleted something we shouldn’t have?

If I have to guess, which I do, I would say you deleted something you should not have.

And, deleting apps to SPEED UP a PC?? Who's brilliant idea was that?

If lots of apps being loaded was slowing down the notebook, you could have gone into Task Manager --> Startup tab and simply Disabled the apps to prevent them getting loaded upon startup.  That would not have risked damaging anything.

There is no simple way to fix the damage you did -- if startup repair is not working.  It can take up to three passes to actually fix everything it finds, but if you run it three times, and the PC still does not boot into Windows, your only recourse is a complete Windows reinstallation -- which will remove everything you have on it.
