Please, help me to remove HP BIOS PASSWORD for my laptop HP ZBook 17 G3

HP ZBook 17 G3
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Dear friends,

I am from Bulgaria (EU). I have had an HP ZBook 17 G3 workstation for a year ago. I bought a new laptop, although it was second hand, it was not used.
Notebook: HP ZBook 17 G3
Product number: X9R17EC#ABU
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Service Pack 1

A week ago I added 2 new 2GB hard drives (HDD) to my laptop. I wanted to get into BIOS to upgrade OS from Windows 7 to Windows 10, but I saw that BIOS requires a password. Please note, that I only entered the wrong password once and I have 2 more attempts so I have not completely blocked the BIOS.

As I see that you are a responsive and empathetic persons, I very much ask you to help me with removing the BIOS password. Please help me remove my password and use BIOS freely. Please note, that I did not enter the wrong code 3 times, but only once. Do I have to enter the wrong password 3 times to receive my halt code? What can I do to remove BIOS password?

Thank you very much in advance. This way, you will help me make full use of my computer.
Have a nice weekend.

Hi:

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to help you, since HP will no longer supply the required SMC.bin file that is used to clear the BIOS password.

That was the only way it could be done.

Most HP business notebooks including the one you have, do not generate system disabled codes.

Also, removing the CMOS battery will not clear the P/W.

HP issued this document recently...

The forum rules were amended on 1 March 2019, which no longer allow us to help with removing passwords.

Rule 4.d...

d. No posts shall include instructions or directions intended to bypass or subvert security measures, including passwords, locking mechanisms, fingerprint scans, etc., or to bypass any safety measures.
