Hello

My hp pavilion 14 won't boot. The power indicator led on the power button turns on. The battery indicators work.The keyboard back-light won't turn on. The caps lock status led doesn't work. The screen back-light doesn't turn on. No beeps or any warnings. The fans spin. Something heats up.

 

It has given me no warnings or any trouble before this. It is about three years old at this point. I tried reseting the graphics drivers. Let it drain the battery. Held down the power button. Nothing worked. Tried hard reseting did nothing. Shows no other signs of life. keyboard appears to be dead other then the power button.

 

I would be very thankful if you guys could help me.

I tried all the steps listed. Nothing worked. Hard reset did nothing. I connected the laptop to a TV through hdmi got no output. The TV doesn't even recognise a device as being connected. The cable worked with other devices. Tried recovering the bios. Nothing happened held down win+b for about a minute no beeps no output on the screen. The back-light for the keyboard doesn't work the only key that does anything is the power key. The fans spin and something inside gets very hot. Could it be a short? The back-light for the screen doesn't even come on.
