Power on and charging

@Erasmus1 Thank you for posting on HP Community,

For an accurate solution I'll need more details:

Is it not powering on?

Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?

Is it not charging anymore?

In the meantime, please try with an alternate wall outlet, ac adapter or another battery (if available)

let me know how that pans out,

And the answer to the above question will help me, help you!

Keep me posted, and if any of the above questionnaires helped resolve the issue,

Mark this post as an "Accepted Solution".

Good luck.

Power on and charging

I tried a different wall outlet and the problem was not solve, I have only one battery so I have not tried with a different battery. I check the charger and It was able to charge a colleague's laptop. However  I removed the battery and plug the chargeril in and it  does not power on.

Power on and charging

@Erasmus1 It looks like there's an issue with the charger port on the motherboard or the battery, and I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options,

follow the below steps to get started:

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,

here's how private messages work: Click here for details.
