Pavilion cw1948nd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

First Pavilion dies after 4 weeks use. It booted with crackling sound, and I could log on to Windows, but it did die after approximately 3 minutes.

Second Pavilion (Replacement after sending Pavilion #1 for repair) dies after 1 week of use. After pushing the power button, the LED lights and the fan starts up, and after just a second it dies again. No reaction whatsoever.

The LED besides the power supply lights up, but still I tried another HP power supply to no avail.

I've tried:

15 second power on hard reset (non-removable battery) both with and without connected power supply and

Pressing and holding down Windows - B while pushing power (no more than 2 seconds) both with and without connected power supply.

I registered the laptop for repair again.

After the first repair no information about the root cause was supplied.

I hope someone can suggest what is wrong.
