Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
HP ProBook 430 G4 Laptop will not boot. AC Adapter plugged in. When I push the power button nothing happens except the entire LED keyboard flashes intermittently at about 5 second intervals, the fan ever comes on. When I hold the power button to cycle the power off, the LEDs on the power and caps lock button blink, just once, and then nothing after that. There are no beeps, only white LED lights.

I was on the laptop last night and it just turned off. A couple of hours prior, there was a power surge in my apartment and we lost power for about 20 seconds; didn’t notice anything strange when the power came back on. I don’t remember seeing a low power notification on the laptop before it turned off either and it was plugged in at the time. Not sure if the power cord got fried, but I don’t have anything to test it with in the house that would fit the plug.

Hi Soccer20110, since there is a blinking LED on your keyboard, please review this documentation: https://support.hp.com/sg-en/document/c01732674

A power surge may damage your laptop if it is plugged into a non-protected outlet, we recommend using surge protectors for your equipments to help protect against power surges.
