Resolve Windows 10 or update issues on HP computer or printer– Click Here
I bought a ProBook 645 G4 used exactly 6 months ago. Until then I use it normally, only now I had to change the SSD for a higher capacity one.
The problem is that the bios has a password and I don't remember which one it is.
I need to change the boot settings, but because of the password I can't.
Any way to resolve this?
Hi:Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to help you, since HP will no longer supply the required SMC.bin file that is used to clear the BIOS password. That was the only way it could be done.HP issued this document recently...https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06368824Also the forum rules were amended on 1 March 2019, which no longer allow HP to help with removing passwords.
You might need to contact the support which required to replace the whole mainboard...
