Envy x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear HP,

I was simply typing away in Microsoft Words then my HP Envy x360 randomly shut off. My computer was 100% and still being charged. It will not turn back on at all. The light next to the charging port is off even if the charger is in. It's been a week and I have no idea where to start in the troubleshooting process.

Hi,

If the power led is not coming on it usually means that there is no power to the motherboard. So you should check if power is reaching the motherboard. Since you say the battery was at 100 percent it should work without power adapter and most likely we are looking at a motherboard failure.

There is no sign of life whatsoever when you press the power button?

Regards,

David

Dear David,

First and foremost I would like to thank you for responding to my question.  To answer your question, NO there is no sign of life in my computer whatsoever. I'm also confused on how to see if power is reaching my motherboard, how should I go about troubleshooting that.

From,

Jeremy
