Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I work in a high school, but we also do some helping out at the special school next door for autistic children, one of them has managed to some how put a hard drive password on one of their 30 laptops, i thought i would just be a case of taking it apart and removing the biso jumper like on a pc, and then removing it.

It does not matter about whats on it they are all imaged and save on the schools server, even i can just wipe to reinstall the schools image. how do i get rid of the hard drive password?

If you're asking how to remove the drive password but keep the data intact, without knowing the password, there is no way to do this.  If there was, there would  be no point in having drive passwords.

You said the data does not matter, so use a Secure Erase app to WIPE the drive and then reimage it.

Any option i pic, f2 f8 f 12 all want me to input the drive lock password, there seems to be no way past it to boot of any thing else.

There is no way around the drive password as long as you have it connected to the laptop.  And as I said, there is no way to reset it without wiping the data.  If there was, there would be no value in setting drive passwords.

To WIPE it, you need to remove the drive, connect it to a working PC and run a Secure Erase program.  The one I recommend is MiniTool Partition Wizard, for which there is a free version.  It will take HOURS to do the wiping.
