Reset BIOS Admin Password

Hi,

Unfortunately the hashing routine for any codes that start with a 'i' have changed, so at the moment your options are down to Contacting HP support.

or

You can still remove a power on password by removing the rtc cell, then holding down the power button for 60 seconds before re-inserting the rtc - the procedure for removing the rtc can be found on Page 54 of your Maintenance & Service Guide.

Reset BIOS Admin Password

Hi,

Did you hold down the power button for 60 seconds after removing the rtc?

If you did, then the only remaining option would be to contact HP regarding this.
