I havent used this computer in a while and i tried to turn on and got to log in screen and I dont remeber the password. So i googled what to do. I went to the boot menu and changed the 2 different passwords it had there to change. I restarted pc again it beeped right away and i had to put the password i just change into it. Well i did that a few times because I would still get to the admin log in screen that I dont remember password for. The last time i restarted the pc a key on my key board got stuck and it put in letters and then i got system disabled blue box with code of [81261791] I dont want to do anything to the pc because this has never happened to me. CAN YOU SAVE MY STUFF ON THE PC?????? I dont remember what all music, pics and things like that I have on there so I dont want to have to factory reset it, if thats even possible now any way. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! PLEASE

I did that and now I am back at the same log in screen and i still don't remember my password. Do you know how I can get around it? I don't wanna get locked out again

See if this works...Use the same unlock code I posted.  It should always be the same one.

Get into the BIOS>security menu>Enable/Disable Password setting.

Use the unlock code I posted to enter that menu.

To clear the password that is in there now, hit the Enter key in the Password box, and again hit the Enter key to confirm the password.

Then save the settings and exit the BIOS.

Can you explain to me again how I get into that screen. I messed up some how once I'm scared to do it again. Could you walk me thru it? By the way your a wonderful person for all your help. Will I need to restart the computer again?

I'll see if I can help...I don't have your model, so I am not exactly sure how the BIOS works.

I will give you both methods.  One of them should work.

Method 1:  Restart the PC and tap the ESC key at the beginning of the HP welcome screen.

If that is the right method, you should get a list of options to choose from.

You want the F10 setup option.  That will get you into the BIOS menus.

If that doesn't work...

Method 2:   Restart the PC, and tap the F10 key to get into the BIOS menu.

That's all there is to it.

Ok I am in the InsydeH20 setup utility
I see
Main security diagnostics she config and exit
I clicked over to sec. tab and the administrator password and the power on password both say clear
Under the system config there is a boot options the little side bar says set boot order, device boot capability, and accessibility options. Do I click enter on that

Hi:

If the administrator and power on passwords both state clear, then there is no PowerOn or admin password, and unfortunately, I would have no idea why you got the system disabled message.

Can you get into windows OK?

Sometimes you get that message out of the blue if the hard drive fails.

I got past the system disabled message. Now I can't get past the admin log in screen

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with getting past the Windows password.

Google the issue and I believe there are some third party free software programs out there that claim to be able to find the Windows password.
