Product: HP ENVY x360 - 15m-dr0012dx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
- I have a model 15m-dr0012dx HP laptop. Last night my laptop feel off my bed but barely hit the floor. It powers up still both with or without the charger plugged in but the screen does not turn on so no error messages. The Caps locks just blink but no noise

Hi @kevenvy360,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to assist you.
I see that there is an issue with the laptop.
Please try to recover Bios, It seems like mother board issue.
To recover the BIOS on an HP laptop, you can try the following key combination:
- Turn off the computer and connect the AC adapter.
- Press and hold the Windows + b keys.
- While still holding the Windows + b keys, press and hold the power button for 2–3 seconds.
- Release the power button, but continue to hold the Windows + b keys.
If the HP BIOS Update screen doesn't display, you can try these steps:
- Press Windows + v instead of Windows + b.
- If the screen still doesn't display, the computer might not support the feature or there might be a hard drive issue.
- If the power light turns off, you might have held the power button for too long.
-Regards
Raj
