Purchased Spectre x360 Convertible close to 2 years ago. I put the machine to sleep like I do every evening and this morning it does not turn on. The power button lights up for a few seconds and then turns off. No sounds or other lights are heard/seen. I tested the power supply on a different device and it charges. The machine itself has 2 C ports, neither of which are damaged. The laptop was charging overnight since I had it on battery during the day.
I read forms where they claimed a motherboard issue, but I do not smell anything burning.
Anyone else have this issue?

I opened the back cover, removed the battery and reseated the RAM. Put it all back together and it's back.
I did get a CMOS error message, I believe is expected. I never modified the BIOS so I'm thinking I'm good. Still not sure how the symptom matches the fix... anyone?
