Do you have a friend with a desktop computer who could help?

Failing that, take the computer to a qualified computer technician, for professional trouble-shooting & repair.

Solution? Probably not.

Diagnostics? Yes. 

When you power-on an HP computer, you have an option to press a key to launch the built-in HP Hardware Diagnostics, which includes a test of the disk-drive.  Run it, and report back.

Hi I received the same problem but when I hit F11 it says an operating system wasn’t found. Try disconnecting any drives that don’t contain an operating system.
