Why is my notebook suddenly not working? First it said it didn't find the boot and I tried various things and checked the hard drive more then 1 time because it failed in some parts, but now it says that there isn't a hard drive installed. It also makes weird noises. What should I do to get my notebook back to normal?

Hi

Do you have any backup or Recovery Media?

I suggest that the Hard Drive be removed and Replaced.

Further use of it will likely prevent any possibility of recovering the data on it.

Make, Model and OS please.
SKU: if possible
System SKU: N6K07EA#ABU

Please do not post Serial Numbers.

Ok, my pc notebook hp options are a bit different but thanks. Also my pc is kinda weird because now it found the hard drive again but it still doesn't work, I did a hard drive check again and I don't really now what to do so that everything in the check passes. Do you maybe have an Idea what I could do so that the 24-bit ID passes and so that the boot device will be found or atleast that I can install an operating system so the error: Hard Disk (3FO) goes away?

Hi
First:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.

Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.

Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat

AND/OR - Power on your PC, press Esc (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).

HOW DO I USE DIAGNOSTICS?

HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows is a Windows-based utility that allows you to run diagnostic tests to determine if the computer hardware is functioning properly. The tool runs within the Windows operating system in order to diagnose hardware failures. HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows comes pre-installed on new HP computers, but if not on yours, download here:

Beeps etc are an indicator of a fault.

MAKE BACKUPS AND RECOVERY MEDIA IMMEDIATELY.

Hi,

Most likely your hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced. Can you provide the model or product number of the PC (not serial) for further help. Here is how to find it:
