Laptop says system information not valid or missing on start-up .

I have made no hardware changes.

Many other informations are also missing like born on date etc. System information says factory installed OS is non windows. But earlier it used to say windows 10.

I recommend you contact support and they will assist you in this regard.

 

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

 

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

I found these videos on YouTube dealing with the issue similar to mine. Are they useful for me?? 

 

I don't want to contact HP as my laptop is out of warranty. I prefer to sort it out myself.

Yes, you can give it a try. However, your computer motherboard needs to be retattooed to fix this issue and it can be done only at the HP service centers.
