Hi @SusantaMSVictus

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for explaining that—when your HP Victus 16 blinks briefly and then goes completely unresponsive, it’s often a sign of a power delivery issue, BIOS corruption, or a hardware fault like a loose connection.

Let’s walk through a complete recovery checklist to help revive your system:

🔌 Step 1: Perform a Hard Power Reset

This clears residual charge and resets internal components:

  1. Disconnect the charger and all external devices (USB, HDMI, etc.).
  2. If the battery is removable, take it out.
  3. Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the charger (without peripherals) and try powering on.

🧰 Step 2: Try BIOS Recovery Key Combo

If the screen briefly showed “BIOS files not found,” this may help:

  1. Press and hold Windows + B (or Windows + V) on the keyboard.
  2. While holding, press and hold the Power button for 2–3 seconds.
  3. Release the Power button but keep holding the other keys for 10–15 seconds.
  4. Wait to see if the BIOS recovery screen appears.

If it doesn’t, move to the next step.

💾 Step 3: Create a BIOS Recovery USB

You’ll need another working PC:

  1. Visit the HP Victus 16 driver page.
  2. Download the latest BIOS update (SoftPaq).
  3. Run the file and choose Create Recovery USB.
  4. Insert the USB into your Victus laptop and retry the Windows + B + Power combo.

🧪 Step 4: Reseat RAM and SSD (if accessible)

Loose or misaligned components can cause boot failure:

  • Remove the back panel carefully.
  • Reseat the RAM sticks and SSD.
  • Reassemble and try powering on again.

🌡️ Step 5: Check for Overheating or Fan Blockage

  • Inspect vents for dust buildup.
  • Use compressed air to clean gently.
  • If the laptop overheated previously, give it time to cool before retrying.

Let me know what happens after the BIOS recovery attempt or if you need help creating the recovery USB. You’re doing the right thing by tackling this methodically—we’ll get your Victus back in action! 💪💻
