Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi,

I have just replaced our son HD because it died. Since I do not have the recovery disks, I wonder what I need to to to re-install window and all the drivers.

Thank you for your assistance; much appreciated!

@Tokino

If your PC is a 2016 model or newer, you should see if you can make a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool on a working PC.

The recovery drive can then be used to install Win10 and the HP drivers and utilities that originally came with your PC.

Hi, @Tokino

Your PC is not supported by the HP cloud recovery tool.

You have two options:

Since HP no longer sells recovery media for your notebook, you would have to order it from this non-HP vendor...

Computer Surgeons - Windows 10 Home (1b)- Recovery Kit 856245-001 For HP Notebook Model Number 17-p1...

Or you can reinstall W10 for free by making bootable installation media using the media creation tool from the link below...

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

HP Notebook - 17-p121wm Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Customer Support

You will not need a product key to reinstall W10.
