Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

Ubuntu 16.04 uses a new version of the X-server and, if you have an AMD or ATI card, it most likely will NOT work due to the fact that AMD has dropped fglrx driver support for Linux starting with Ubuntu 16.04.

This is just a community of volunteers trying to help folks with the JP-related Windows problems.

We do not have the resources to debug problems with Linux OS installations or performance.

For that, you would do better posting to the Ubuntu Forums: Ubuntu Forums

Good Luck
