HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0056wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I have a HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0056wm laptop and I am unable to boot the system at all.

When I press the power button: the power button lights up green, the fans spin for a second or two, after a bit the screen turns on showing nothing, then the laptop resets, and the cycle repeats.

I have removed the battery and ran the system off of only AC power, no luck.

I have re-seated the RAM, put one stick of RAM in each slot to see if one is bad (or if slot is bad), and I still get the same cycle as aboe.

I have tried pressing esc/f2/f10 to get into bios, but none of that works as I get stuck in the above cycle.

I have tried removing the M2 drive and spinning HDD and booting, the system doesnt even get that far before it gets stuck in the above boot cycle.

I have tried using this page for help, but I do not have these lights on my keyboard lighting up nor am I hearing beeps: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07107

I have tried plugging my laptop into another monitor via HDMI and there is no signal detected from the laptop.

I have tried holding down Windows key + B and booting, and it does nothing but get stuck in the above boot loop.

Any ideas on how to get this laptop to work again?

This will not work for everyone, but you may be lucky?

HP Notebooks and Mobile Workstations -
No Power, No Boot, No Display When Power Button Is Pressed

NOTE: Be sure the battery is installed in the computer and it has sufficient power before continuing. Due to the design of the Embedded Controller/Keyboard Controller, the power supply must be disconnected and the computer must be powered with battery power to reset the Embedded Controller/Keyboard Controller.

Unplug the AC power from the computer.
Press and hold the power button for more than 12 seconds.
Release the power button (after at least 12 seconds).
The computer will power on and should boot normally after releasing the power button.
Re-connect the AC power to the computer.

NOTE: In case the battery is not charging after performing the steps to reset the Embedded Controller, unplug and re-plug in the AC power again.

I tried holding the power button for 12 seconds, letting go, starting it up, and it did not do anything different, unfortunately. The battery charges normally, luckily.
