Hi I had a update and when I updated it I opened it up and it turned on and then 2 secs later my laptop turned off can anyone give me a answer to help

Sorry no one replied before this ... what is the state of the laptop at this point? Does it boot into Windows? Does it turn on and show a login screen? Does it turn on but the screen is dark? Does it not even turn on?
