@Adarshgupta0879, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding PIN Issues on an HP Laptop!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you encounter a message indicating "Something happened and your PIN isn't available. Click to set up your PIN again" on your HP laptop, you can follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches.

Remove and Re-Add Your PIN:

  • Sign in With Your Password: If you are prompted for a PIN but it’s not available, choose to sign in with your Microsoft account password.
  • Go to Settings:
    1. Open the Start Menu and select Settings.
    2. Navigate to Accounts.
    3. Select Sign-in options.
  • Remove the PIN: Under PIN (Windows Hello), select Remove.
  • Add the PIN Again: Follow the instructions to set up a new PIN.

Clear the Ngc Folder:

  • Open File Explorer:
    • Navigate to C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC.
  • Delete the Contents: Delete all files and folders within the NGC folder.
  • Restart Your Laptop: After deleting the contents, restart your laptop and set up your PIN again from the Sign-in options in Settings.

Use Command Prompt to Check Corrupt System Files:

  • Open Command Prompt as Administrator:
    1. Press Windows Key + X and select Command Prompt (Admin).
    2. If Command Prompt (Admin) is not available, select Windows PowerShell (Admin).
  • Run a System File Check:
    • Type sfc /scannow and press Enter. This will check for and repair any corrupted system files.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
