Hi @Manoj118,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the Wi-Fi adapter is missing from your HP laptop running Windows 10, it could be due to several issues, such as driver problems, hardware malfunctions, or incorrect settings. Here are steps to troubleshoot.
Check if Wi-Fi Adapter is Disabled:
- Step 1: Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Step 2: Expand Network Adapters.
- Step 3: Look for your Wi-Fi adapter. If it's listed but has a downward arrow, right-click on it and choose Enable.
Reinstall or Update Wi-Fi Driver:
- Step 1: In Device Manager, if your Wi-Fi adapter appears with a yellow exclamation mark or isn't listed at all, right-click Network Adapters and select Scan for hardware changes.
- Step 2: If no changes, right-click the Wi-Fi adapter and select Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.
- Step 3: If this doesn't work, download and reinstall the Wi-Fi drivers from the official HP support page for your laptop model.
Use Windows Network Troubleshooter:
- Step 1: Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Step 2: Go to Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Step 3: Select Additional troubleshooters > Internet Connections > Run the troubleshooter.
Reset Network Settings:
- Step 1: Open Settings > Network & Internet.
- Step 2: Scroll down and click Network reset.
- Step 3: Click Reset now and restart the laptop.
BIOS Settings Check:
- Enter the BIOS during startup (Esc or F10 key during boot) and ensure the Wi-Fi adapter is enabled.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
