@Bmohrcm, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Laptop Restarting Constantly in Windows 11!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP laptop running Windows 11 keeps restarting constantly, follow these steps to diagnose and resolve the issue:
1. Disabling the Automatic Restart Option to View Error Messages
Errors might occur but not display if Automatic restart is enabled. Disable this option to allow the computer to display error messages instead of restarting, which might provide useful information for resolving the issue.
- In Windows, search for and open View advanced system settings.
- In the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings.
- Remove the check mark next to Automatically restart, and then click OK.
- Restart the computer.
2. Checking for Failed Hardware
Hardware problems can cause unexpected results. Increased heat inside the computer can also cause hardware failures. For more information, see HP PCs - Testing for hardware failures in Windows 10 and ensure proper cooling to prevent overheating.
3. Updating the BIOS to Resolve Unexpected Restarts
A BIOS update might resolve unexpected restarts.
- Checking for a BIOS update using HP Support Assistant: Use HP Support Assistant to check for and install a BIOS update on your computer. When a new BIOS update becomes available, HP Support Assistant can update your computer automatically.
- Downloading and installing the latest version of the BIOS from HP: Download a BIOS update from the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page.
4. Perform a System Restore
If the issue is recent, restore the computer to a point before the problem began. For more information, go to HP PCs - Using Microsoft System Restore.
5. Perform a Windows System Reset
If the issue persists, recover the computer back to its original configuration. Microsoft provides a reset feature that repairs your computer by reinstalling the operating system. For more information, go to HP PCs - Reset the computer.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
