Is it not powering on? Or is it powering on but not booting into Windows login? Is there anything on the screen or is it just blank?

Jit does power on. Starts to go through the cycle for initial boot for I stallation of win 11 installation buttons on the third screen of initialation if installation of win 11. Stops on  third screen on  network.  I see the right country or region, then keyboard layout, (US),  then "let's connect you to a network" then no prompt at all, no cursor,  I see "having trouble getting connected?". No prompt..nothing.  "  NEXT" keyisgrayedout. I'm stuck.  Can't go further

OK, so you're trying to install Windows 11, right?  My guess is that you are NOT using an HP OEM version of Windows and if that is the case, this is A MISTAKLE!!  Why? Because only that version has the drivers needed for the custom hardware built into the laptop.  Any version from MS is only going to include Generic drivers, and those will not be sufficient.

If this came with Win10 preloaded, and it is COMPATIBLE with Win11, it should have offered you an Upgrade.  If it did come with Win10 and did NOT offer that upgrade, then forcing Win11 will be a mistake in and of itself.
