Product: HP Spectra x360

I decided to update my computer from windows 10 to windows 11 today around 4pm today & it was stuck on the black screen shown below for 4 hours when I finally decided to turn the computer off hoping it would fix the issue. When I turned it back on it went it is stuck on the blue screen below & I don’t know what to select. PLEASE help me I have homework that due tonight

@Awilli11_ , welcome to the Community.

 

I suggest trying the "System Restore" option to see if that helps.  You want to remove the remnants of Win 11 from you drive.

Thank you for the additional information, @Awilli11_ !

 

This means that Win 10 has been completely deleted.  You will have to make a USB drive to reinstall it.  You can use this page: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-installation-media-for-windows-99a58364-8c02-206f...

 

If you don't have a backup of your personal data it will be lost and not retrievable.

I think "the computer ate my homework" is a good and truthful excuse!

No it does not mean that!

You don't have access to the folder Windows.old! That's it.

 

I would run the command prompt and type: bcdedit

Then you can check the bootentries.

What you see is that the system has access to the Windows Recovery partition.

 

Your data are not lost!

 

With the right commands you have full access to your personal files.

If you have important files on your system don't run a new setup!
