Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi guys!

Upon doing a regular windows update I noticed that my laptop was installing an update to the HP bios, fine sure, nothing out of the ordinary.

Problem being that my laptop will now no longer boot, infact I'm pretty sure that it doesn't even post seeing as caps lock doesn't work.
Caps lock and num lock are not blinking, the screen never turns on, never even flickers. The fan seems to turn on for a couple seconds, then shuts off. Power light turns on and off in the same fashion, lighting up when the fan is running.

- I've tried resetting the computer (15s hold down power button),
- Used the Win + B bios recovery
-  Downloaded the bios recovery to a USB stick while doing the WIn + B in accordance with these instructions https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02693833

Thanks for your attention, hope you guys can help me here. I'm fairly technically inclined so shoot away with your most esoteric suggestions.

Seems like I was able to find some hp document about my specific issue!

Although my laptop is equipped with an i5 processor.

None of the fixes have worked so far but the HDD light does light up when attempting the "crisis bios recovery". So does the USB stick, if it is inserted.

@cufbas Welcome to HP Community!

As you have tried computer reset and BIOS recovery, still it is not working.

I would suggest you contact phone support.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
