Product: Zbook studio 16 inch g10 mobile workstation
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Hi.

 

Unfortunately I only found years old, conflicting, answers. So I have to ask directly.

 

Can a Zbook studio 16 inch g10 mobile workstation be powered on by a Docking Station WITHOUT opening the Lid?

I don't mean, power on via LAN, sleeping mode, hibernation, power on by AC. I mean the Power Button on the Docking Station!

For example, If I would buy a HP Thunderbolt Dock 120W G4 (4J0A2AA) or a HP Thunderbolt Dock 280W G4 w/Combo Cable (4J0G4AA). Would they work with the Button that is on the Docking Station itself so that I don't have to open the Lid anymore?

 

If anything is unclear, I can elaborate, no Problem.

Go into the BIOS and see page 36 of the following document and check if you have this option in the BIOS
